The cost of skip bins is provided at the time of booking based on the specified waste. Prices may increase if the skip bin contains additional or unauthorized waste. All quoted prices include GST, and transportation costs.
The standard rental duration is 3-4 days. Any extension of this period must be arranged at the time of booking. DC Waste reserves the right to retrieve any skip bin after the 5th day of the rental period. Trade account clients can negotiate extended rental periods.
Payment for skip bins is due on the day of booking or upon delivery (if paying by cash).
DC Waste may offer credit terms to customers if previously agreed in writing. Customers with credit terms must complete a credit card authorization form and provide valid credit card details. DC Waste provides a maximum of 30-day terms, with the credit card charged on the 30th day of the rental period.
It is the hirer's responsibility to ensure that sufficient funds are available at the time of the transaction. If a credit card payment is declined, the hirer must provide an alternative payment method on the same day to avoid interest charges and a $10 administrative fee.
Accounts that are overdue will incur a 5% interest charge on the total outstanding amount, applied weekly until the account is paid in full.
DC Waste will strive to meet the requested delivery and collection times but cannot be held accountable for any delays.
Customers must follow the terms of use as outlined at booking and on the skip bin itself. DC Waste will not remove overfilled bins or those containing hazardous or prohibited waste. Failure to adhere to these terms may result in the skip bin being emptied on the customer’s property and the full rental fee being charged. DC Waste is not liable for delays related to skip bin delivery or collection, including any associated labor costs.
DC Waste will place skip bins on either private property or Council land, which may require a Council permit. DC Waste will arrange the permit on the customer’s behalf and include the permit fee in the total rental cost. DC Waste will not place a skip bin in locations that do not comply with Council or VicRoads regulations. The final decision on bin placement is made by DC Waste, considering road and pedestrian safety and local regulations.
DC Waste requires 24 hours’ notice for canceling skip bin rentals. If a bin is canceled after delivery, the full rental fee will be charged. DC Waste will provide a full refund for any advance payments if the cancellation notice is given as required. Refunds are not available for partially filled bins.
All outstanding payments must be settled before closing an account. DC Waste requires a minimum of 7 days’ notice to ensure all bills are fully settled. DC Waste reserves the right to terminate an account immediately if there is a breach of terms and conditions. Accounts may also be terminated with 7 days’ notice.
The use of forklifts, bobcats, or other equipment to move skip bins after delivery is prohibited.
The hirer is responsible for any damage to DC Waste skip bins occurring on their property.
